RECOMMENDATIONS
Of this list I highly recommend visiting at least one park and one walking style locations
For the Parks in Tokyo I recommend Ueno Park or Shinjuku Gyoen. Both are very large with a nice amount of trees and space for people to relax. Ueno has less space but more options for things to do and see with amazing food stalls and a river park right across the street.
For a walking style place Naka Meguro is a must. I’ve yet to see cherry Blossoms as beautiful as the ones there. Naka Meguro is a very crowded spot due to it’s location and popularity. However, there are many restaurants lining the river so if you ever get tired just pop into one for some hot wine.
My Favorite Location
My favorite location of all is Sankeien Gardens in Yokohama. This beautiful Japanese garden is like a dream. Such beautiful landscaping. Think of this place as a small traditional village and less like a park. There’s a river, multiple Japanese houses you can walk through, a museum, a tea ceremony room, restaurants and more. Also, the best part of all is that its typically less crowded than the Tokyo locations.
